SUMP Türkiye is a 3-year project co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye. The main aim of the SUMP Türkiye project is to promote the transition from individual transport modes to sustainable, accessible and inclusive transport modes at national and urban levels.
Accomplishing the project includes the following objectives:
The first stage focuses on identifying barriers to sustainable urban mobility implementation and provides recommendations to stakeholders on how to overcome these barriers.
In the second stage, the sustainable urban mobility planning process is systematized by identifying effective tools and methods.
In the third stage, municipalities are supported to create long-term SUMPs and the adoption of sustainable urban mobility practices is accelerated.
