The Eighth Task Force Meeting Was Held in Ankara

The 8th SUMP Türkiye Task Force Meeting took place on November 15, 2024, at the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye (UMT) premises in Ankara.

Moderated by Dr. Volkan Recai Çetin, Team Leader of SUMP Türkiye, the meeting included presentations by Marko Stančec (POLIS Network) on the increasing significance of urban nodes within the framework of Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning and the EU Policy Framework, and Chris Wensink (Panteia) on public transport strategies in the Netherlands.

After a presentation by Laszlo Sándor Kerényi (Rupprecht Consult) on strategies and best practices across the EU in digitalisation and innovation, the meeting concluded with Dr. Çetin’s comments and insights on the preparation process and content of the White Policy Paper, followed by feedback and suggestions from the participants.
